I am absolutely exhausted from the events of the day, so I will not be writing much, however I wish to note the fantastic exhibit I visited today. It's called Cinematic Realism at the Hirschhron Gallery, and it's a series of video installations by various artists. I didn't get to finish the whole exhibit and I would love to spend more time there, but what I saw was really interesting. It comments on the ambiguous nature of realism in film , yada yada yada. At first I thought it sounded a little abstruse and ridiculous, but it wasn't and I really liked it (can ya tell?). Anywho, It's free, and fabulous, and everyone go see it. And finally a little food for thought in the form of a completely unrelated afterthought; Marc Jacob's Louis Vuitton collection inspired by Richard Prince's nurse paintings. A perfect example of how fashion and art go hand-in-hand. You may also recognize the paintings from the cover art for Sonic Youth's, Sonic Nurse. Enjoy!

hey dollFACE. I am really REALLY excited to see your art show. So much so that I've thought about it on many occasions: be it whilst buying a newsboy cap at banana republic for 10 dollars or whilst attempting to fall asleep after watching hairspray AGAIN and as a "seemingly unrelated afterthought", thinking of you. so excited to see what it is your devious and artistic little brain has come up with. see you soon myrt!!

also, your brain is not little by any means it was simply a term of endearment.

I'd like to note that somebody besides me likes to watch Hairspray over and over.

Also, you taught me a new word: abstruse. I thought it was misspelled, but what happened when I checked at dictionary.com? I found seven definitions. Good one!!!
